Girls qualify for Inter Semi Final
LIFC St Sylvesters 0-18 Ballinteer St Johns 0-08 Yet another second half blitz saw the girls notch up their third win in the Championshio and qualify for the semi finals. A one point lead at seven to six at half time was a fair reflection of a first half where Johns stayed with us almost point for point. The second half was a different story, Syls half back line closed the door, Lea Harold, Sinead Treacy and Anne Clarke sweeping forward at every opportunity, Macker taking a few great high catches and the combination of Nicole, Sinead and Katy Slattery hitting a string of excellent points.

They traveled to the other side of the Estuary on this cold wet windy Monday night where they beat St Pats of Donebate St Pats 0-1 Syls 0-4. The girls did not have a single official Minor Player (DOB 1994) on either night and they showed a great fighting spirit to win both games.

Another great weekend of results for sylvester's girls at both club and county level. Under 12 & U13 girls both had great league wins against Oliver Plunketts & Skerries. At Co level Kim White starred for the Dubs Minors in a big win against Louth. Our senior players travelled north to take on Donegal Ladies and came away with a big win and the points. Sinead Aherne bagged 2-5, Niamh McEvoy scored a goal and Nicole Owens got her first point for the senior Dubs. Sinead Tracey was rock solid at full back. Well done to all on another great weekend.
Syls first ever Ladies Minor Football Team
A lot of work has been done over the past number of weeks to enable Syls to enter our first Minor Girls Team in the History of the Club. Four Syls to start against Cork
Syls ladies top the table on Sunday as they provide four in the starting line up against All- Ireland champions Cork in round 3 of the National League. Sinead Tracey again fills the full back position, Niamh McEvoy faces the challenge of going toe to toe with player of the year Juliette Murphy at midfield. No pressure Niamh! Nicole Owens partners Sinead Aherne in the full forward line. What a historic day for the club. Kick off is 2.00p.m. in Ballyboden . Do support the girls and the club in Sunday. .
Syl's Ladies make it four!
A remarkable milestone was reached on Sunday last when four players from Syl' s Adult Ladies team, featured on the Dublin Ladies Senior team which defeated Meath in a tightly contested game in Ashbourne. The starting line up included Sinead Tracey at full back, Niamh Mc Evoy at full forward and Sinead Aherne at corner forward. Nicole Owens made her debut at Senior level when she came on as sub in the second half. Meath as always dominated in the height department and in the physicality of their game. Sinead Tracey was more than equal to the challenge in the back line and the absence of any goals from Meath tells its own story. The forward line had to contend with a Meath sweeper and a heavy pitch so space was at a premium. Dublin looked the stronger team and deserved their three point victory margin. A good day out for Syls ladies, recently promoted from Junior to Intermediate level.
Syls Girls Star For the Dubs
The Dublin Ladies Senior Football team kicked off their Division 1 league campaign with a comprehensive victory away to Kildare last Sunday. Syls Niamh McEvoy lined out at midfield and put in a great performance throughout the match, scoring 1-4. Sinead Aherne was at her usual best in the full forward line and put 2-3 past the Kildare defence. Sinead Tracey came on at full back for the 2nd half and played a tight game to limit the Kildare scoring power.
