Under 15 & 16s hurling round up.
2 entertaining midweek hurling matches played in excellent conditions in Bridgefield. Our under 15s showed tremendous spirit in defeating Erins Isle by 15 points, with the goals coming from Kevin McLoughney, Sean Kane, and Killian Haverty who made his first start at this age group. Towards the end Jordan Lawless shipped a late tackle and is now out for 6 weeks with a shoulder injury.
Jordan had another fearless display at wing back and we wish him a speedy recovery.
On Friday night our under 16s produced a spirited comeback to draw level with Brigids. A late goal by Andrew Smith followed by an excellent point from David Kennedy looked to have given us the 2 points but Brigids equalized with a 65 just on full time. 4 players played the full 60 minutes in both midweek games before making their debuts for North Dublin against Antrim on Saturday morning. Well done to Kevin McLoughney, Kevin O’Flynn, Conor Ryan and Brendán.
