Our U12b's won their cup final against St Brigids in Naomh Mearnogs on Sat. Our Captain Johnny Shiels won the toss and we elected to play against a strong wind. For 20 mins we defended our goal with Daniel Deneher keeping out all attempts on goal with a very solid performance. With 5 mins to go to half time there was still no score then Sean Meehan broke through to score a goal and a minute later followed up with a point.

Although we were under pressure in the 1st half our defence was well in control with Sean Finnerty and Sean McFerran showing great skill and determination. In the 2nd half David Moloney took control of midfield we started to get some decent ball in to Mikey Keenan who after a couple of attempts found the net twice. Sam Greenan scored 2 great points from distance and we now had St Brigids under pressure all over the pitch. Our half forwards who had to work hard in defence in the 1st half were now able to push forward with Chris Kerly, who scored a cracking goal and Jack Butler showing great commitment and skill. A great win for a group of players who combine their football skills with great determination. Many thanks to our parents for huge support on the day and to John Keenen for pictures of the final. There are 21 players on our panel, they all played and made a contribution to this win.
