U12 Win vs Erins Isle

On a fine sunny morning in Bridgefield, St Sylvesters U12 footballers had a comfortable victory over Erins Isle in the U12 A Cup. Niall McCann captained the team for today’s match.

Syls started strongly and lead by a goal and one point before Erin’s Isle had a chance to settle into the game. Syls backs had a tight grip on a tricky Erins Isle forward division and managed to hold them to three points in the first half. Half time score was 2-05 to 0-03 in favour of Syls.

In the second half, playing into a light breeze, Syls midfield and forwards stepped up a gear and pushed further ahead. Erins Isle scored a late consolation goal to finish out the match.
