Sweeney pips Aherne for Dublin honour

Hearty congratulations to Gary Sweeney on being awarded Dublin GAA player of the month for July 09. Ironically he pipped our own Sinead Aherne who also put in a fabulous display in the Ladies Final. Since he was a young lad Sweeney has displayed great skill and football intelligence and has an ability to carry the ball at speed while surveying the field around him, a skill possessed by the likes of the Gooch, Alan Brogan and Declan O'Sullivan.

Sinead is no slouch either, fast and skillfull, a delight to watch and one of the best forwards in the Ladies game - St Sylvesters are proud to have such players in our teams - get out and support them in their upcoming All Ireland semi-finals.
