St Sylvester’s GAA club notes 6th June
Summer camps will take place on July 12th and 19th and on August 9th and 16th. The application form is available from the website www.stsylvesters.ie. There is also a hurling academy for aspiring hurlers aged 10 to 15 from the 5th to the 9th of July with Dublin players Alan Mc Crabbe and Ronan Fallon. The nursery is conducting a survey to elicit the views of parents for new ideas and initiatives. The survey is being distributed through the schools and can also be completed online.
The under 14 hurlers had a brilliant victory over Kilmacud Crokes with a very mean defence restricting their opponents to 1-2. Sam Horan got the man of the match award despite an impressive performance from the returning prodigal son.
Friday night’s Gaeltacht Bheag with set dancing, comhrá agus ceol is well worth a visit with the best of Irish music and craic from some very fine musicians.
