U16F Championship - Syls lost to Ballymun after extra time

All square at full time, we could have clsoed out this game in the last 10 minutes but some great blocking by the Kickams backs somehow kept us out. We tired a little in extra time and Ballymun got the few vital scores to win by two.

U14 Div1 St Sylvesters 2-5 Kilmacud Crokes 2-12

"Broken by the breaking ball"

The half time score was Syls 1-5 Crokes 2-2. In the first half Alan Kavanagh actually did burst the net with a great finish to a fine move and Colm Byrne scored some lovely points. Karl Stacey defended really well also in the first half. Crokes took ov er in the second half and made the best of their possession with 10 points on the trot. We just couldn't win any possession around the middle of the field. Cian McCann put in a huge performance in defence in the second half. Jack Hazley gave us a great focal point at full forward when goals were needed. He hovers in the air ala Michael Jordan. Kevin Dannaher crashed a great penalty to the net. There was no lack of effort. The breaking ball just didn't want to come to us. That's our story anyway
