No Feile for the boys this year
Disappointed with the results but not disappointed with our performances over at St Judes in Tymon in the U14 Hurling Feile. We won our first game well over Good Counsel. Unfortunately we gave up a few early goals against St Johns in the second game, hit the crossbar twice, hit the post twice and just couldn't get the scores to get us back into it, losing 1-4 to 5-1. Judes were stronger in the last game and although we stayed with them to the end they were always leading and beat us 6-5 to 2-4.
We couldn't fault the boys for their efforts recently and although we were disappointed to go home so early we were also very proud of our lads.
Well done to Bernard for all his work, to Ronan, Mel, Brendan and Declan and the other parents who always help out, we always have great support. Big thanks to Shiels Londis for their sponsorship. (Anthony Archibald, Ray Clifford, Ultan Donnelly, Peter White, Padraig Quinn and Ciaran Creamer all raised funds to kit out the boys, football and hurling and all deserve great credit)
Well done and thanks to St Judes GAA for hosting and looking after all the teams so well - we hosted two football tournaments ourselves a few weeks back and we appreciate the efforts of the all the volunteers who make us such a great Association.
