AFL6 St Sylvesters 2-10 Cuala 2-07 Avery entertaining game in Broomfield with a fairly decent crowd in attendance. We dominated most of the first half racing into 1-3 to 0-1 lead. Killian O'Flynn cut through for a super goal, Eoin Kelly and John Conway a few points and we led by about six at the break. We extended the lead and then sat on our laurels for a while as Cuala clawed their way back, thanks partly to two converted penalties.
Cuala took the lead for a short while but good full back play by Kevin, Conor and Graham Morris kept it to a minimum. Sean Halligan and Conway made a few great catches around the middle and points from Darren Hand, Eoin Kelly and Killian and we won by three I think.
