Brian Judge bids 'adieu' to My Club

The green & blue of St Sylvester’s has greatly contributes to the person I now am. From my first match on the coast road playing street leagues at the age of 9; the last 21 years representing St Sylvester’s has been an honour.

A special thanks goes out to Panner, Joe Doyle, Al Baker, Peter Clerk, Magaro, Cotsy, John Murphy, Mick Harrington, Derek Roche & Lenny (hurler)all the management teams and the approximate 80-100 odd players I have had the opportunity to have played with in this time.

brian judgeKevin Wright and Brian Judge supporting the senior footballers last year.

I’ve packed my bags and am going to introduce ‘out side of the left’ to some un-expecting club in Brisbane. Might even give the egg shaped ball game ago. (Some physio is going to make a fortune.)

I have so many memories of goals, points ‘misses’, tackles Etc, The day I was surrounded by 10 Vincent’s lads and I throw the first box only to hit Ronnie Carroll square in the nose but mostly the team friendships ‘ a friendship like no other’

I will greatly miss the hard slog at training the conmadary and team spirit at the games and the friendship and banter over a pint in the club house. Good auld super cider Sundays with a sneaky Pernod.

The wonder of the championship………the belief this will be are year!!!

I am very proud to have played for St Sylvester’s and get the right to call it MY CLUB!!!!!!

Brian Judge

Brian has played for the club since he was 9 years and is now moving to Australia. Brian is the type of play that is the real life blood of this club. He broke into the Junior team back in 1999 when they won the Junior B championship. He has played all his adult football with the junior teams and has been a real servent to the club. I am incredibly proud to have played and managed Brian. On behalf St. Sylvester's I want to wish Brian all the best in Australia and hope to see him back in the Blue and Green as soon as possible.
