Record numbers at Mini All Ireland Finals
Regardless of the weather for the preceeding weeks, Syls Mini All Ireland Finals Day always brings out the sun and this year was no exception. Broomfield was resplendent thanks to the efforts of our Sponsor, Audi North Dublin and our hard working committee and was thronged on Sunday afternoon as record numbers of young players took part in our Finals Day.
Summer Hurling Camp - bookings open
Colm O'Connor is running his Dublin North Summer Hurling Camp again this year on starting 2nd July. Dublin star, Dotsie O'Callaghan will lead the coaching and it promises to be a great week for hurling - book early - see details attached
Coaching and Development Drills – Hurling & Football

BASIC FIRST AID / CARDIAC FIRST RESPONSE
This course comprises of a basic first aid course, followed by the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) Cardiac First Response (CFR) programme. The CFR includes initial assessment of a patient, providingt CPR and defibrillation with an AED and the FAST assessment for Strokes. Also the chain of survival, cardiac arrest, heart attack and foreign body airway obstructions in an adult, child or infant. All course materials are included in the price.

Please pass out among mentors in your clubs I have a list of upcoming workshop next week and early November – Also worth noticing is the workshop on the FETAC Course in Strength & conditioning for Gaelic Games. We are running a workshop just to give interested mentors & coaches a taste of what will be involved and what the course will entail. It is a great way of seeing if the course will be for them and how it can benefit your team /club. Sport specific Conditioning Summer Camp
A conditioning summer camp is being run by Migym in both Gannon Park and Boroimhe Shopping Centre Swords. The aim of the camp is to give a firm grounding in the fundamentals of functional sports conditioning to kids in the 16-19 age bracket. The course will cover the following areas
Athletic Development of Children in Gaelic Games
A Chara Please see attached an flyer for a new course we have created for Athletic Development of Children in Gaelic Games. It has been developed by Dublin Coaching & Games and NADA (National Athlete Development Academy), with the the aim of introduce the participants to the coaching methods and techniques that can be used to develop athleticism in children (< 12 years). A resource manual will be given to each participant.

Award One - Child (Football) coaching course
Please find details of the next Award 1 course for football, this follows on from Foundation level coaching and covers mentors up to U13. There will be an Award One - Child (Football) coaching course ran at St.Margaret's GFC & Fingal Ravens GFC this May. Attendance of all nights are necessary
